Welcome from the Rector

You are welcome here.

Why do I enjoy serving our Church of the Holy Spirit so much?  The answer comes from a psalm:  I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord. (Ps. 122)

I feel a deep joy when we worship God together.  In our worship, we remember God's love for all of us, without respect to any worldly condition of life, or any worthiness on our part, but solely because we are precious to God.  This gives us deep joy, which heals and strengthens us to serve our broken world.

"What are you looking for?  What can I do for you?"  Jesus asked those questions of his followers.  He could have just told them the answers - but the very person who knew the hearts and minds of men and women so well that they began to believe he must have super-natural powers - did not always give people the answers.  Sometimes he just asked them thoughtful questions, and I believe he still asks us today: " What are you looking for?  What can I do for you?"

I invite you to come and share with us the deep gladness of worship, and answer the questions you have between God and yourself.  We are an open, welcoming and inclusive church committed to seeking God, knowing and loving God, and serving God in each other and the world around us... because God first came looking for us, knows and loves us so well, and serves us still.
